Participation Rules

General Rules:​

  1. Teams will be 24 members in size (composed of 12 athletics, 12 academics and everyone participating in spirit. 

  2. Arrival and Check-In will commence around 2:30pm on Friday January 2nd 2026. All events will wrap up by Sunday January 4th evening at 10:00pm at the latest.

 

Roadmap to Successful Logistics for MBA Games:

  1. Register your team at degrootembagames2026.com/contact-10.

  2. Book your hotel rooms at ivgroups.com/mbagames. Rooms are limited, and banquet seating arranged based on hotel bookings, so book immediately.

  3. Book your flights into Toronto Pearson or Hamilton Airport using the discount code provided. Airport parking discounts are also available across Canada.

  4. Arrange ground transportation:

    • Book bus transfers with our discounted preferred vendor (contact info sent after hotel booking).

    • Or reserve a car rental using the discount code provided.

Approx. one way ground transfer cost for reference:

  • Toronto Pearson Airport <-> Sheraton Hamilton: $130 per car or $800 per 24 passenger minibus.

  • Hamilton Airport <-> Sheraton Hamilton: $38 per car.

Spirit Rules:

  • Teams should start their charity fundraising as soon as possible, the charity organization will be announced shortly. 

  • The spirit performance component comprises a dance and a short film. The dance and film should not exceed 3 and 2 minutes respectively

  • The mystery spirit event is yet to be announced.

Academics Rules:

  • The academics component of the competition will comprise of 3 case competitions each requiring unique 4 member teams. 

  • All 3 of the cases will released soon, and the format of the cases will also be announced shortly.​

Athletics Rules:

  • The main sports of the competition will be Dodgeball and Volleyball (6 per team)  

  • The mystery sport has yet to be announced. 

​

*Teams should contain 24 members to ensure a fair and balanced competition, however a minimum of 20 participants is strongly encouraged to allow teams to compete in all activities without logistical complications*
